Guided Meditation for Patience: 10 Minutes

Meditation Script for Patience

Begin by sitting in a comfortable position. Really taking a moment to feel your sit bones on the ground, adjusting your spine so that it feels tall and proud… and softly close your eyes.

Let your breath be soft and gentle. Breathing in and out through your nose, stomach slightly expanding on every inhale and slightly contracting on every exhale.

Wayne Dyer once said, “infinite patience produces immediate results.” So often when we are trying to accomplish something, when we’re chasing our dreams, when we have a deep desire for something that is when we are least ready.

For when we instead allow ourselves to just be happy with what we already have, feeling infinitely patient for all that we desire, we no longer are in a state of neediness and therefore our desired results can instantly appear.

In order to get there, we must first enter into a state of infinite patience.

Keep breathing softly and gently as you envision a purple smoke entering into your room, surrounding you, permeating into your third eye and every cell in your being. This violet light symbolizes alchemy and transformation. It allows us to transform any need we have for immediate results into patience.

Time is a made-up construct and we simply need to let go of feeling like it’s time for something to happen, and instead be open to no time…Infinite time…Perfect timing.

As you feel this purple smoke surrounds you, transforming any need within you to acceptance and patience, you feel yourself dropping deeper into this moment. There is nothing you need. No outcome that must happen because you already know deep in your heart that your highest, most loving timeline is unfolding perfectly and therefore you can be infinitely patient because there is nothing you need. There are no needs that are not being met in this moment. You have everything…You are surrounded by love.

Feel this now and let yourself relax further into the purple smoke.

Let yourself affirm” “I am open, willing and ready to be infinitely patient. I allow myself to accept everything as it is right now. I trust everything is unfolding perfectly.”

One more time, affirm these thoughts and really feel them as your truth. “I allow myself to accept everything as it is right now. I trust everything is unfolding perfectly.”

Let your self affirm: “I am open, willing and ready to be infinitely patient.”

Keep breathing softly and gently, as you feel yourself entering into a state of infinite patience, feeling as though all of your needs are met and that the universe is taking care of you in perfect order, feeling faithful and having trust….

Begin to take this feeling of patience with you as you start to become more aware of your physical body, feeling it in this present space and time. Gently rolling your shoulders, feeling the sweetness of the movement in your body. Feeling the sweetness of being present in this moment. As you very slowly open your eyes back to the room around you, taking the sense of patience with you all throughout the rest of the day.

Guided Patience Meditation: 20 Minutes

Meditation Script for Patience

Welcome to this relaxing session focusing on practicing patience.

If we don’t practice patience, we may find that life can come at us in a difficult way and make for us to expect more, yet receive less… When a willingness to endure is cultivated, you find that you get more out of life and can remain at peace even through difficult moments.

Get into a nice peaceful location where you can focus fully on this session… take three deep breaths and on the last exhale, allow your eyes to close…

(pause)

Patience is a form of wisdom…

(pause)

Know that each time you practice waiting without expecting something to happen immediately, you are growing a deeper understanding of how the world around you works and thrives…

(pause)

Having patience means knowing that life comes to you and everything occurs in the perfect timing…

(pause)

The art of waiting is something that allows for beauty to unfold…

(pause)

Being impatient speeds up nothing, it only harms the peace of mind… simply know that the blessings emerge from the period of wait.

(pause)

Begin to breathe in deeply again, counting how long your inhale is… then hold the breath for a few seconds…then exhale slowly, counting along as you breathe out as well… holding it again at the bottom of the breath….

Inhale… 1…2…3….4…. exhale… 1…2….3…4…

Continue breathing on your own as you count the inhalations and exhalations… having patience with this practice as you go along….

(pause)

Breathing in…counting along…. breathing out… counting…

(pause)

Good… let go of the breath now and just let it flow naturally…

(pause)

Your patience helps you succeed and achieve all your goals…

(pause)

It is important to have patience when waiting in line, but it is also extremely important to have patience with others, especially those you love and care about…

(pause)

So just relax now and listen to this beautiful story about patience…

A seed contains all of the vital information for the life of the plant, going back thousands of generations… within the tiny seed is all of the genetic makeup of the plant, that will grow and fruit in abundance, creating more seeds to carry on the life of the plant for generations to come…

(pause)

Imagine holding a tiny seed in your hand… notice the texture and the color… the size and the shape… perhaps you can even feel it’s weight in your hand with your creative mind…

(pause)

All this seed needs is to be surrounded with soil and watered occasionally in order to sprout…

(pause)

Take the seed and place it in some rich, dark soil… cover it with love, and give it some water…

(pause)

A beautiful wooden bench appears by the planted seed, so take a seat by the broken soil, and wait, with patience and joy…

(pause)

You see that the day turns to night… then the sun rises again… the soil remains still and unmoved…

(pause)

Another day passes by and you enjoy sitting under the warmth of the sun and the passing clouds…

(pause)

You know that there is nothing you can do to speed up the process of growth that happens naturally… so you enjoy waiting on the wooden bench…

(pause)

The night comes again, and since this is all happening in your imagination, you do not get tired or bored here when you wait with patience… it is all very enjoyable watching the nature around…

(pause)

When the sun rises again, a gentle rainstorm brings warm waters that moisten the soil… you know that much is happening below the surface of the earth, even though you cannot see it…

(pause)

You can smell the thunderstorm, and its nourishing waters…

(pause)

The day turns to night and it is so lovely seeing all the stars in the sky… you have so much patience here that you forgot you are even waiting… you are just enjoying the world moving around you…

(pause)

As the sun rises again, you see the light of the morning has illuminated a tiny spark of green pushing through the soil… you see the first signs of life springing from the earth… it is such an enjoyable moment, that you take it in with joy by breathing deeply….

(pause)

You cannot witness the seedling growing with your bare eyes, it is almost as if when it is watched, it is not moving, but when you look at the nature around and enjoy the patience you are cultivating, each time you look back at the seedling, it has grown some more….

(pause)

On the next day, the seedling grows its first set of true leaves… they are bright green and beautiful…

(pause)

3 more days pass and the baby plant has already grown a foot high… it is full of life….

(pause)

By now, you have allowed time to escape from your mind, days simply blend into night… nights are cool and refreshing… and the warmth of each day brings new growth to your seedling…

(pause)

Before you know it the plant is taller than you, and flowers are budding all over…

(pause)

The flowers burst open, and are so beautiful, you have never seen such amazing flowers before… their fragrance is like the sweetest rose…

(pause)

You see that you didn’t have to do anything but wait with delight and patience as this plant grew and grew… it gave you this beautiful display of flowers as well as the wonderful experience of being able to watch the days go by peacefully…

(pause)

This is the gift of patience…

Plant a seed, and wait as it grows into something incredible…

(pause)

Take a deep breath in, and gently return your awareness to the present moment, bringing with you a new appreciation for practicing patience… allow your eyes to open…
